Ok, I've just signed up on Fordmods just to clarify the details my friend had f'd up. My mate was trying to help me sell my car by advertising it on the site So let me clear up the detail.
The car was passed to me by my dad as a standard EL Falcon GLi. This is the base from which my car began. Like most car enthusiasts I got the bug and began doing slow mods here and there to add the desired effect I was chasing. I lowered the car, tint, exhaust, the usual items most teenagers do with the little income they have. Overtime the car went through further changes including an XR6 diff and engine. Gearbox still original. The front end is a fairmont front end. not Ghia. I modified the bonnet with the BA style bonnet bulge because I loved the aggressive effect the BA's had. The side moulds I picked up from the Walliston Wreckers. they gave that simple clean look I was after. I have the fairmont ghia boot garnish but I've never put it on because I prefer the clean back end. no badges, nothing. I have the Tickford XR6 dash cluster at home but never put that in. I'm not sure what the k's are on the XR engine and won't know until the tickford XR6 dash cluster goes in as I bought them off the one car. was actually going to put it in but was trying to locate a white fascia backing plate for the dash cluster. Additional to all of this I managed to get my hands on a fairmont interior (seats and arm rest for centre console). The woodgrain trims on the doors are off a fairmont but my door skins were in better nik then those the trims were on. The dash, obviously a standard EL gli dash, I collected fairmont options over time and added to the interior. naturally there was more trim to get a hold of. Like many cars on this forum and other forums, this was an unfinished project. the car is my pride and joy, but I need to sell it because I have other priorities in my life which I need to dedicate my money towards. The car to date I have spent around 14k over the time I've had it. It has been looked after. So if there are any other unanswered questions I'm more than happy to clarify. |
