Jeff No, the pulley on the AU is integrated with the balancer...its all one piece. AUs are not "underdriven" compared to a standard e-series. |

the 4 bolt holes on the water pump pulley are not far out enough, and the center hole fouls due to the threaded end of the water pump where the clutch fan used to go on ie: eb/ed. that can be overcome. from what u were saying jeff the alt pulley or alt housing needed work regardless?. without having had a close look, y wouldn't the crank pulley go on, did any1 try?

Tried crank pulleys hole needs maybe 1mm taken off it.
Water pump pulley is 30mm and ours is 40mm.

Alt pulley is close just needs a tad taken out of the inside diameter. Crank pulley is a close match just comparing the 2. Water pump pulley is totally wrong though.
Want em sent back Steve? |

Really debating on this. They are going to charge me a 15 percent restock fee and its going to cost me $147.00 to send them back.

ouch. if i wasn't going to skidpan this weekend i'd have my car pulled appart now working out a way to make them fit. from what i've seen with some convincing i think they can fit, but untill i get time to pull the old pulleys off i cant be sure. would much prefer to modify them to make em fit, then have steven send them back. thoughts?

Steve,
No hassles from over here mate. I will be getting all of the pulleys modified to fit by a good mate of mine whos a machinist. They are in his hands now and he'll be taking them to work tomorrow to work his magic. Crank and water pump are an easy fix, alternator will be abit more stuffing around but it will be done. Jeff

No dramas Steve, Cheers for organising the group buy, appreciated. Crank pulley just needs the centre hole machined to 60.6mm, its at about 60mm now, so close. Water pump pulley needs the centre hole machined out aswell ( I cannot remember the measurement now, somewhere around 38mm i think). Also needs the PCD of the four holes re-drilled between the other holes, no drama there, i have a spare factory pulley he has taken for a sample. Alternator pulley requires the rear lip to be tunred down to a smaller OD and a groove machined into the rear. Also on the front where the nut seats will need to be taken back. This is the only one that may pose an issue. If it cant be done on that pulley he can mchine me one out of a piece of billet alloy. Jeff

^^Sounds good, let us know how much he'd charge If your set gets stuffed up during machining ya can buy my set if you like as they are useless to me as they are.
