I think the wheel in this thread (middle pic below) actually is from a BAII Fairmont Ghia. The BAII Fairlane Ghia had a more orange woodgrain on the steering wheel.

that car its pictured in is a fairlane. the leather on the seats is different styles between the lane and monts. fairlanes have large pieces of leather with stiching down the centre, monts use smaller pieces that go side to side.

fairmont ghia's have a very deep walnut brown woodgrain, which actually looks almost like marble. the fairlane is a very clearly defined woodgrain.

That's right. The top pic in my other post is a Fairlane with its "orange" woodgrain (BA MkII). The middle pic is a Fairmont Ghia wheel same as the bottom pic (both BA MkII). Therefore the wheel that Lay3d_low is/was selling is from a BAII Fairmont Ghia, not Fairlane. Fairlane and Fairmont Ghia in BA MkI didn't have any woodgrain on the steering wheel. |

i have some darker coloured dash spears and auto selector garnish on my ba which i was told were the colour for a ba 2 fairmont ghia. they are a very dark walnut colour, and look more like marble than woodgrain. if their not from a ghia, what are they from? just enquiring as thats what i was led to believe, and i bought them to go with my fairmont ghia leather interior and door trims. the gear shift piece and spears match the door trim though, so is it possible their is more than one colour woodgrain in the ba2 ghia? or could i have been sold fairlane non-ghia door trims and fairmont ghia seats? that would make life even harder for me trying to find a matching steering wheel.
