Hi guys,

Up for grabs today is a nice woodgrain and leather steering wheel off a 2002 DU LTD.

It is complete with cruise switches, airbag and also the two plastic covers that fill in the holes where the screws go to secure the airbag to the steering wheel frame.

I have just had this wheel professionally refurbished, whats been done is all the oil and grease removed from the leather, colour re-dyed/painted with leather dye/paint and then has been sealed to prevent it from prematurely wearing. the edges of the wood where it meets the leather has also been sealed to stop the clear coat chipping or flaking away.

photos below show it how it is, i should note that the cruise switch has a small crack at the back, and the volume control has had it's plastic mount repaired, this doesn't affect their operation and you can't see it when on the car anyway.

On the top right hand side, there is a small amount of clear coat on the wood that has come away, once again this is not really noticeable, and keep in mind this is a USED part.

The wheels dye/paint is currently curing, it will take at least 4 days for the colour to fully settle in and seal.

This will be sent to you in a well packed box and the wheel will be wrapped in fabric and loads of bubble wrap. NZ posts prices are extremely reasonable. I will have to wait until i'm at work on Saturday to get a box for this, then pack it, and get a quote on postage. Postage is a flat rate no matter where in Oz you live.

Obviously even though this wheel has been refurbished, it's not brand new, so will have a small few imperfections here and there but nothing really that noticeable. The wood is in lovely condition and has been given a coat of wood polish.

This thing owes me over $420, I will take $400 including post, yes that's right, FREE INSURED POST!

Better luck selling that on ebay mate. Bit dead around here, especially for AU stuff.

I was considering that, I forgot to put into the Ad that it will be listed on eBay in the next few days. Thought i would try it here first so i don't get raped by eBay fee's.

Direct fit on EF/L just swap the cruise buttons. Not sure on the AU airbag though

You and me both on the broke front. EF, EL and AU switches are different. The EF1 has ON OFF, RES COAST, SET and DEC, EF2 and EL seem to have ON OFF, RES COAST, SET+, SET -

AU has radio controls and ON OFF (cruise) on the right hand stalk.

I think.

This thing is now on eBay for all the glorious potential buyers to see! Check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0419813174

Price is higher on eBay than on here to reflect eBay charges and FREE POSTAGE being offered.

Man listing things on Ebay is expensive, it cost me $6 just to list it, prob' going to cost me $30 to sell it, then $8 for PayPal fee's!! Thankfully TradeMe hasn't adopted this method yet, everything is free basically, except when you sell it or add pictures. Free to list though.

Cheers mate!

I know lol, when i dropped in to the upholsterer to pick it up and he pulled it out of the cabinet, i was like "Phwoar! that's awesome!" Tell you what man, if it doesn't sell on eBay, I'll cut you a deal and you can pay it off over a few weeks if you want to 8-)
