Really???
Will you sell the the 4 door ajar sensors, all their loom right back to whatever plug they have on the end plug cut the plug off the body loom so I can run into my car? Also the fuel flap reed switch, its magnet, and its loom back to its plug and the plug off the body loom... Posted to NSW 2705? Thanks, Tim

I have NFI on all the wiring, plus the engine & main dash looms have been taken already so I'm not sure if there's anything missing from there that you need.
The fuel flap switch & its respective loom I guess that can be pulled out no probs (on the weekend?). If I can identify the door ajar sensors I'll pull them + their looms. I'm guessing they're related to the interior light. I suppose you'd also want the fuel flap & boot ajar sensors? Do you want the digi dash as well to go with the sensors? I'll take a stab at a price when I hear back from you regarding whether you're after the other parts as well. Cheers -Dave- |

Hi there...
The door ajar sensors clip into the side of the actual door lock themselves and don't control the interior light in anyway (its done by the buttons the door hits)... In terms of the loom and plug, I'm not sure whether they are part of the door loom (if they are I'll take the door loom then) or if they are a separate loom... Its the fuel flap ajar sensor I want, not the button and solenoid... its a reed switch held in with a screw and wiring goes through a grommet into the car... There is a magnet inside the flap lid that triggers the switch to say closed or open... There is no boot ajar sensor, it works off the light in the boot... I don't require the dash as I want to run a NF dash (similar to BenJ's mod)... All these plugs and that should be on the main body loom, not the dash or engine loom... Thanks, Tim

OK, I'll have a crack on the weekend with everything, thanks for the tips on what exactly I'm taking & how to get them!
* Door ajar sensors * Respective looms & plugs (if part of whole door loom then whole door looms) * Fuel flap ajar sensor, nothing else How's $70 (includes postage) sound? Cheers -Dave- |

Its only 4 tiny plastic buttons with a bit of wire so should be too much...
I have had various offers but struggle to find someone with them... Familybus off here said he'd give them to me if I paid for post... a guy on ebay said 20 bucks plus post, but then didn't have the time to remove them... I thought it'd be easy for you seeing as you've already got most of the car pulled to bits... I thought 70 might be a bit dear... But your selling them, price is you call, plus whatever labour is invloved to get them out, I'm not sure how hard it exactly is... Cheers...

Tell you what, if they're easy to pull out then I'll post them for $30. If they're a PITA, I'll leave the price at $70 (you're right: I chucked in "labour" as I assumed they'd be kind of fiddly to get out).
I'll be honest with whether they were easy or not when the time comes. For me it's not so much the money I get from selling stuff, it's the time I put in for pulling them out of the car. If you're happy with these two prices then I'll attack the car on the weekend & let you know then whether it's $70 or $30 Cheers -Dave- |

I'm now hoping its easy... Have a go at one door and let me know how hard it was as to whether I wanna go for all 4 (bit strapped for cash right at this present time, actually... as always is more like it ) Cheers...

OK, long story short - I think the door handles themselves in my EB have the same sensors that are shown in the tech doc, rather than the latch that the tech doc shows.
I'm not sure if you'd be interested in these based on this info. Anyhoo, let me know! Cost would be $30 rather than $70 as there'd be minimal stuffing around to get them all out. -Dave- |

Yeah I'll have them for 30... Don't need the latch, just the clip in button...
same with the bits for the fuel flap one... and just the plug off the body loom for the sensor (or is it part of the door loom?) and I'm happy PM me your details if you want... Cheers...

the switches on the handles are for the interior lights
the switches on the mechanisms are for the door ajar circuit mechs need to be removed from the door to remove the switch without breaking them be carefull taking the switches off the mechanisms, they break the tabs that hold them into the mech very easy the looms are different so u will need to add the 2 extra wires into your loom for the door ajar setup timmy, also the fairmont ghia/fairlane door loom has different plugs to join into the dash loom than the fairmont(check your loom the extra wires are sometimes there) |
