Simmons FR17s
17x8 (front), 17x9 (rear) 5x114.3 +6 offset tyres: front: 235/45/R17 RE070 - about 60% tread rear: 255/40/R17 R888 - about 40% tread condition: good. each rim has a little bit of gutter rash, but its minimal need a good polish no centre caps price: $1500 firm (no nearest offer) - this is a cheap price and the demand for these easily outweighs any low offer |

Keen. Can I see pics of gutter rash on each wheel and are these in E series offset?

+6 offset = e series
ive taken some photos, but it may take a while (im on shaped internet during peak hours, 64kbps FTL) but ill start uploading them now its kinda hard to see the scratches due to the nature of the rims (shiney dish), but ive tried to take photos as best i could. it would be easier to see them in person. |

Do you reckon they could be repaired/polished out?
I'd take em if they can be made to look brand new. |

Yeah they'd polish up sweet.
Probably look at getting the centres resprayed too Pete. Alliance rim repairs in Malaga would be able to do it no worries. Have used them before.

I'd use Wheel Gleam. I hear that Alliance sends some of his jobs to Wheel Gleam when he is swamped or it needs something he can't do.
Those marks on the rims aren't too bad. Should be about $60 - $100 a rim to get the gutter marks off. |

I thought wheel gleam is just a polisher not a rim repairer. Whereas Alliance can do full Simmons overhauls.

Didn't know that.
I got a small gutter rash on one of my EL GT copie rims and Simon said he can get rid of it for $60. Maybe I'll try Alliance if they are Simmons repairers. Although I was there once and someone had some small scraps and the guy told him to find a second hand rim cause it wasn't worth him doing. Got to get the rims first though I reckon. I'll PM tocchi again. |

Got to get the rims first though I reckon. I'll PM tocchi again. I'd say thats just him being honest. If he feels the wheel/s wont turn out like a new one and look different to the rest he wont do it. Basically doesnt want anything leaving the shop that he wouldnt be happy with i spose. I have used him to have a rim dent repaired and was happy with him and the job done. Yeah get the rims Timmeh, so then i can buy the EL GT's

HAHHAHAHAH. Yeah I'm not sure if I want to sell the GT copies or the FTRs yet.
I'll repair the GT copy first with the minor rash so they are all like new. |
