Hey guys,
I have just picked up a 3.45LSD, so i have no use for my current diff. According to the previous owner, it was built in melbourne, end of 2004, start of 2005. The diff is very quiet, but does have the usual slight, barely audible 3.7 ratio whine. I heard it's just part of having a ratio like that. No leaks, very good condition. I'm going to be pulling the diff out this week sometime, and fitting the new one, so it should all be ready to pick-up by the end of the week. Asking $500 ono. All ready to bolt into a ED, and not sure which other models it will fit into.. Cheers, Yagz Last edited by Yagz on Wed Jul 26, 2006 12:08 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

Well, it's a perfect 3.7 single spinner. It doesn't have LSD. I guess you'd need to enquire as to how much it would cost to install an LSD unit into this diff.
I really don't want to open this diff and dissemble it, mainly because it's a perfectly good 3.7 single spinner. No leaks, no noises, and runs beautifully. It's a waste to open it and seperate the gears. |

Oh, and if it was an LSD 3.7 diff, it would be going for more than $450ono. More like $1000.

You don't know much about diff's do you?
This diff was built using new stuff, not second hand reco'd. a 3.45:1 LSD built using new parts, will cost anywhere between $800 - 1200. a 3.45:1 LSD reco'd will cost anywhere between $600 - 900. Maybe you should get a price on a 3.7:1 gear, then a price as to how much it would cost to get the diff built with an LSD. I think you'll be surprised. |

well i see ya removed the name of where it was bilt and my other post so i wont say the name but u would be pushing for them to use new gears cause if they where new there would be dead quiet i know a number of my mates run anything from 3.08-4.11's and if they are new they dont make a noise it dosnt matter what gears ya put in it the price is all the same ya get 3.45 out of any xr or vl turbo and 3.7 out of manual skyline 3.9 out of auto skyline and 4.11 out of pintara

I only removed it because it no longer had a bearing on the sale, as I chatted to the previous owner again, and it wasn't built at the place stated in my original post.
I thought Holden/HSV supplied 3.7 gears as well? |

i can confirm a reputable diff builder charged a friend of mine $1200 for a 3.7 LSD to be build, the 3.7 gears were near new (from just purchased Maloo).
this is from an actual shop, stop comparing your build prices to others kyle as i know why yours was cheap

Now, back to the sale of my diff. Anyone willing to make an offer or want this COMPLETE 3.7:1 diff, built just under 2 years ago? Cheers |
