Having just upgraded to a 2300kg towpack, my existing towbar has to go.
Its a standard Hayman Resse 1600kg towbar, with the tongue that can be removed by undoing the 2 bolts. Comes with mouting bolts and towball. Easy to install yourself. The bolt holes are already drilled into the body, so its just a matter of removing the rear bar (10 mins work) and installing the towbar (30 mins work) and its done. I'm looking for $100. These things cost $240 to $260 at most Hayman Reese outlets, so buy the bar cheap and install it yourself to save some $$$. Local pickup would be best, its a but bulky and weighs about 20kg. Can post interstate at the buyers expense. Will deliver to Melbourne Metro area if it adds an incentive to the purchase. |

Ok... An update to generate some more interest...

sorry to hijack, but all publicity is good no? How do you tell if the towbar you have fitted is a 1600 or 2300 rated one?

The standard 1600's use a bolt on tongue and have no extra supports under the car.
The 2300's have the square type removable hitch design, and have lots of extra under boot support brackets. |
