As the title says
i have a fully recoed 28 spline lsd centre for sale it will suit EA to AU housings as long as they are 3:23 ratio and above housings with no mods needed if you fit it to a 3:08 housing you will need to machine youir bearing cups in order for it to fit nicely. it has been pulled apart and cleaned up with new shims and springs etc it has around 70 pounds of break of pressure(normal ones from factory have around 35 to 50 pounds) id like $250 for it will post aus wide at buyers expense |

I'm interested, just wanna know a few things, with regards to that break off pressure. Can you explain the numbers and what effect it has on the LSD?
Thanks.

So for my EL would I just need to pull out my axles take out the centre, and put this one in and re-install the axles again?
Still keen on it just waiting for a reply from the seller.

No, you will need to replace the center in your housing with his which involves a fair bit of setting up for preloads and backlash.

basically the tighter the lsd the better it engages really
so with 70 pounds of pressure(shims and springs to get this amount) you will have constant drive to both wheels you wont get any single spinning at all you can just pull out the axles and replace the centre but really while you are in there you should replace the diff bearings in saying that though i have heard of others just doing centre swaps and they have had no problems at all |

Neddy, just as an aside; I have had one of his rebuilt diffs in my EB for 18months now,and never had any issues.

There is an enormous amount of work required to set a diff preload up correctly and unless you know what you are doing, I would leave it to the professionals. If you can read dial indicators, mikes and have a great grasp of mathematics/mechanical issues, you may be able to get through with some instructions pulled from the net. I have done a few, but its far easier to get mr Diff dude to set. |

very true ELGT
but i wasnt going to go into the whole shebang on how to do it as then it would come back on me possibly if someone else attempted to do it themselvesn and stuffed it completely |

"oh those gears are stuffed...where did u buy them etc etc..." or you get them installed and theyre noisy, diff guy blames the gears because hes swapped your good ones for the stuffed ones he got out of his bin...then sells u new ones there is good info in the factory ford manuals on setting the diffs up....im gunna have a go at it this year sometime BTW...I thinks the price is very good for a reco lsd centre

I will second that, he assisted with my questions during my LSD rebuild.
