UPDATED - MORE INFO + PRICE CUT

As per title, I'm keen to run a group buy on Stainless Steel extractor/exhaust manifold heat shields, to suit EA - AUs 6cyls. Wont fir certain LPG setups if the mixer is in the way, see pics.
Made from 1.5 or 1.6mm Stainless. (have to double check what the sheet metal place made mine from)

Being ran in conjunction with Boosted and have mods go ahead.

These heatshields, esp the long version, dramatically decrease the temp of your brake booster, and will certainly prolong its life as they are known to split when exposed to excessive heat. Mine was almost too hot too touch, now its nowhere near that hot - you can safely leave your hand on it without fear of melting skin.
Whilst I cannot measure temp differences, it certainly feels a heck of a lot cooler in the engine bay with a shield fitted.
PLUS
They also look mint!

PLAN:

There will be two types made available:
1- Full length, from just behind the power steer pump to about an inch of the firewall - TO SUIT CARS WITH NO DIPSTICK eg MANUAL, EL AUTO Will cover pipes 1-6
2- Shorter length, from just behind the power steer pump to about 4 inches from the firewall - TO SUIT AUTO CARS WITH DIPSTICKS
These shorter sheilds will cover pipes 1-5

The full length shields will have 5 bolts, along with a longer angle piece to suit.
The shorter length will have 4 bolts, along with a shorter angle piece.

Fitting will be as simple as loosening manifold bolts slightly, slipping in angle, tightening manifold bolts, then attaching shield to angle via the 4/5 bolts. (nuts welded to angle)

Looking for a minimum of 10 members from here and boosted to get the buy under way.
It is up to the buyer to list what length shield they want.

Turnover from final payment, expect 3 weeks at the longest. It will take around 3 days to have the metal cut and bent up for me, and then 2-3 days for welding and drilling, with a day for test fitting and alterations if necessary.

PRICE
$140 full length, no dipstick.
$130 shorter length, dipstick.
$20 Post Aus Wide,

Any questions please PM me or ask here.
If genuinely interested please start a list with your username and the shield you would like!
I have one of each made up, longer version on the car (with the short angle)

PICS!

LONG VERSION (please excuse oil and ratty rocker cover, and fingerprints everywhere)

Well yes you could actually do that come to think of it. I dont have an auto, though I do have access to an EF and EL auto, I could possibly make the long version and do a cut out for the dipstick, though I dont know how neat it would be.
Either way something to think about, an definitely do able!

is there any ways around mounting it with the bolt heads sticking out like that? will the stainless change colour with the heat?

I intend on painting my black anyway so shouldnt matter too much.

But yeah would be nice if we could find a way to have it mount flush but ofcourse that adds to the price

Should make one that would suit people on gas as the converter is mounted on the strut tower a normal one wont work

I have NFI how to mount them without bolts, have never seen it done before.
The bolts I have are hex heads, not cheap but look very nice.
