Agree with data_mine.
I have had HIDs in all my cars over the years and i would say anything over 6000k is not worth it. Cop bait Poorer light penetration than 6000k And hard to see when raining at night. All orders please place via Pm. |

I was under the impression that a 35W HID was the equivalent of a 55W normal globe? can you really get 55W HID?
I've had my eye on these kits since i first noticed the group buy, gonna try and get in before it closes. Just wondering if anyone who actually bought them would post and say how they were? and any preference for either brand. Going in a EL XR6, probably low and high, are they relatively easy to fit/ As a side note, if you flick your high beams off cos of an oncoming car, does it take a few seconds to come back on when you turn them back on again |

A person i use to know was driving there little rice bomb behind a fully decked out pig hunting rig with those high powered spot lights the go through the roof of the cabin, they were tailgating flashing there high beams wanting them to go faster, next thing they know the "pig rig" has flicked on his spot light and beamed it staight through there windsheild i dont think they have tailgated since

75W HID!!! that would be so bright, ud want that for driving lights or spotties, otherwise you'd get flashed from K's away!!!
{USERNAME} wrote: Aren't HIDs Illegal for road use? Yes they are illegal for road use, but my plan is to go 6000K which is pretty close to the colour of the arctic blue headlights i have had in my car for 2 years now, and never been asked about, so i figure il be okay. Just aim them a bit lower than normal to make sure I don't annoy anyone. I live in the country, and cleaned a roo up earlier this year, don't want to be forking out that kinda money again anytime soon. I wouldnt want to meet you going the other way!!
Has anyone had any experience with either of the brands listed? also, any issues with the polycarbonate headlights? does it cause clouding? |

{USERNAME} wrote: also, any issues with the polycarbonate headlights? does it cause clouding? I ran HIDs in my EL for years, and in my GT-P since new (2006) neither car had problems with the headlights.
