Hey Lee, i was just reading up on AFF, and you mentioned that they sent you the wrong Tri-Ax shifter, have you got the right one yet?? if so, have you got any pics?
Im asking cause i read up that one of the guys felt the Base and Tri-Ax handle came up being a bit too short... Cheers, Dave

Dave:
I left the tri-ax shifter in my car, as it was correct for the T5, just not the cheaper sport shifter. But as stated previously, the only difference is the 2 position handle height. As for pics, I haven't kept any of the sport shifters, as I sent them all to the buyers. I did open up one, and it looked exactly like the picture above. Maybe if someone who bought one of aff.com.au could post a pic, ask one of them? As for the base with tri-ax handle being too short, I think that is matter of personal preference. He didnt like that it was close to the power window buttons on the EL Console in his car. So with the EA-D console or AU console could be different matter. Here is a link to the picture of the two handles installed in my EF (w/out console) to show the height difference. As you can see it it quite a bit shorter, and it is a matter of personal preference. {DESCRIPTION} |

I'm very interested.. but I'll wait and see until after I've installed the T5 first.. I have a sneaking suspicion that even the standard shifter will be too short for my liking

Yea Mark, i can't imagine your clutch would be the lightest in the world either. I know going from a stock to clutch to a heavy duty took a lot of getting used to, and a sore knee for a few weeks

As I haven't driven a manual in ages (let alone a Falcon manual), I can't really make comparisons, ...but it's heavy enough. My BA is sooo smooth & relaxing to drive compared to my DEVEL! Still trying to figure out a way of keeping the BA as well...
