shouldn't one of the sets of buttons be 'on/off' and not 'seek/vol +/vol -' ?

aren't those AU ones then?

hrmm, tempting.

What is the difference if I have a Manual EF?

I know it won't change gears for me! but will it still work?

yep will still work (i have manual and cruise and use all the time) the only thing is that i have noticed that the cruise setup is from an auto and not a mnaual which means that when u put you foot on the clutch, the cruise control will not "dis-engage". I beleive this is an extra switch, but i have no probs with when i want to the change gears to just press the off button, change gears, press the on button

Yeah in an auto when you touch the brake or accelertor it disengages the crusie control. A manual just needs another wire running a clutch sensor, either that or just tap the brakes first ebfore usisng the clutch.

um well actually when u touch the accelertor it doesn't disengage the cruise control, it just speeds up as if the cruise wasn't on BUT if u take your foot off the accelerator and not touch the brake, it will go back to the set speed

Same as in an auto if you put it in neutral it will not disengage, but instead let the revs climb up as if it were dropping speed constantly and trying to accelerate - just dont let it go too far obviously.

I found out from ford that a new clutch switch would set me back around $97 - so I gave that option a miss - A proper ford one may be scarce from a wrecker as well perhaps.
You will find though a HQ-HZ holden brake light switch will fit perfectly in the clutch pedal bracket, and it can be adjusted - costs a few dollars from a wrecker, run two wires through the main wiring grommet in the firewall, and wire it across the switch on the brake master cylinder - just check that the master cylinder switch creates a closed circuit when the pedal is pressed.
I use this setup on an aftermarket cruise system in my ute, and it works well - saves having to manually disengage all the time, and keeps the rego inspector off your back also.

P.S. Sorry 'bout using the "H" word.
