Hi All,
Bit of an EOI to see if anyone would be interested in my headunit - I am still undecided if I want to part with it, but if there is demand for it - I'd consider selling it. Ball park ~$850 Couple of pics off the web : 
It's got all the bells and whistles (which is why I am still undecided to part with it)...some specs - 3 X 4V preout, Bass Engine Pro (aka inbuilt active 3 way crossover, EQ, time correction), MP3, biolite display, 1.5 din size, motorised swing face - full specs are on the Alpine website (click my www button). RRP $1599 or something - can be had new for ~$1400 I think from most Alpine dealers. It was first released 2 years ago but has been carried over to the current range (due to its popularity AFAIK). Very nice unit and currentlty Apline's Flagship top of the range (except F1 Status unit @ $5,000)
I have this unit and highly recomened it. Steve why would you get rid of it, are you going audio/visual or something?

Yeah - looking at some A/V gear...still undecided - I really like the 7998 and would be quite content keeping it - but I haven't really pushed selling it *shrugs*.

Retail is actually $1,699, altohugh your right in that if you haggle a dealer you can get it for around $1400 cash, so $850 is a great price for this unit.
The only unit (other than F1 status) with optical fibre out.
