Hey guys,
I have a set of 24lbs injectors, an ELGT ECU, Pro-M Chrome 75mm MAF that I wish to get rid of. It would be better to sell it all in one as they are all tuned for eachother, the MAF being tuned for Aussie airboxes, this ECU and injectors. Been on the car maximum 5000kms. Some benefits of the ELGT ECU are: no speed limiter, adaptive shift coupled with more agressive ignition timing. I intend to let it all go for $1100. For more information on the parts, there is plenty of information hidden within this forum. I also have an {DESCRIPTION} as well for $125 inc shipping. Reason for sale? Converting to LPG. If you are interested or have any related questions don't hesitate to shoot me a PM. Cheers. SOLD

I've got a manual EL XR8, I am very interested in the 75mm MAF and 24lbs injectors but not the auto ELGT ECU, only a manual ELGT ECU.
Would you seperate and what would you want for the MAF and injectors? |

I'm not sure if the MAF will be completely compatible with your ECU if that is what you're looking at doing, I'm don't see why not. I'll keep you in mind, however I'd prefer to sell the whole lot in one go.

No worries. I thought the MAF would be for any car auto or manual but I'm not sure.

That MAF is only compatable with the EL GT ECU and possibly the EB GT ECU and ED XR8 Sprint ECU as they all run 24lb injectors.
The standard EL XR8 ECU is for 19lbs injectors.

But doesn't the calibration of the MAF compensate for the 24lb injectors for the ECU?

Factory MAF's aren't "calibrated" for any injector size. All that info is programmed into the EEC. |

I wasn't talking about the factory MAF, sorry should have been a bit more clearer!
If the Pro-M MAF is calibrated for 24lb injectors and you run 24lb injectors, then you wouldn't need the ECU as the MAF calibration would compensate for the larger injectors. Is this correct? |

Sorry, I should have checked before i posted..doh!
Didn't the ELGT come with 24lb injectors stock? If so then that Pro-M MAF is is not actually recalibrating the signal, because the injectors are the same size as is programmed into the EEC. e.g. If i am not missing anything, then the MAF would work fine on an ELXR8 with the stock 19lb injectors, and would be a good way to get rid of the stock 55mm choker... |

We had no luck trying to get the EL GT ECU and 24lb injectors to work correctly with the MAFs that we were using.ie C&L with either 19lb sample tune or 24lb sample tube.
Shane(Mr Landau) came to the rescue with a MAF that was specially calibrated for the EL GT ECU. Once we put these MAFs on there was no dramas with idling, part throttle respons or pinging. I would suggest that you only buy the whole lot together as it will run perfect from the minute you install it. The info on the box that my MAF came with is: 70mmFC '93 COBRA
