I have a limp take off seems to lack ommph. when i take off from a standing start....

At the moment my car is an EB 3.9 = AU injectors = XH Air Intake = Genie SVO extractors = 2.5 Exhaust System = 5 Speed

that is it it seems like it revs and i ride the clutch (i don't ride the clutch etc etc) would a worn old clutch plate or pressure plate etc etc limit the release....

Initially, it seems like your pressure plate is worn out.

How long since the clutch was replaced?
Is the clutch cable sticking because it's kinked, frayed or needs some lube?
Is the pedal box cracked and limiting the clutch pedal movement?

2nd Hand Clutch...... Seems like it had a fair amount of meat
Clutch Cable........... Seems ok don't feel it doing anything weird
Pedal Box............... This might be a factor cause it is just a bolt holding my pedal onto the auto box (t5 conversion) was acting wierd so got an 8mm think plate and bolted that with the bolt ( have a dodgy looking manual pedal box waiting to go in(when i have time))

why have u got AU Injectors? do u have some sort of a chip in the ecu?no ecu it could be the AU inectors which are fludding the cylinder low down RPM which kills the low down power(engine struggles to purn the extra fuel) and thats why u have crap take off. put the std injectors back in and ull c the difference...

4 litre was introduced with the EB2.

EB1 and all EA's had 3.9.

You could see if the rubber dampener on the end of it is in good nick as well as looking for warpage or something.

rack off. its a well known fact that the 3.9L was the crappest motor ford produced. i should know i had a eb 3.9L. what im sayin is if you want a better take off get a 4.0L.. note the 2 guys that cracked it both own crappy 3.9L's. maybe this is the reason there ragging because of what i said.
