yeh ino that mate just more concerned about the afr then then power obviously from last run its lost some power guessing it coz of the ratio

Definately way out!
You'll end up glazing the bores if its too rich. Should be around 12.8-13 continous for an NA set up . You might get a slight fluctuation with the BBM kicking in, but nothing like that.

yeh just need to get it right dont want to be wasting fuel for no reason and yeh feels a little fat in the middle

it shows as well.
I'd be checking oxy sensors first though, power wise it wont pick up too much, but it'd be nice to see the torque curve, I assume it would be pretty flat in the mid range.

Im sure there arent many people here that run 10.6 AFR ratio's here, not even the turbo boys. Stoich is around 14 :1 , high comp clevo boys run theres 13-13.5, turbo boys at full boost see there drop to 12-11.7 : 1. 10.6 especially in the midrange is a waste of fuel and surely would be noticable.

my advice, get rid of the chiptorque give yourself some timing at the dizzy and let your standard ecu relearn itself for a couple of days, then throw it back on the dyno, i bet your afrs improve and you gain power, you have nothing to loose...
i had the same experience with a chiptorque, im running a cms stage 3 cam, bigger profile than yours. still on standard ecu and my AFRs are also rich, but not as rich as yours, mid-low 11s when the BBM switches is the richest, i have a flat curve of 400nm till redline nearly, and make 145 -160 rwkw depending on the dyno...

^^ again with the Chiptorque bashing?
I had a custom tune done at Chiptorque a couple weeks ago to tune the car after fitting a new cam and left their happy. In an untuned state, i had black smoke bellowing out the exhaust, nice pile of soot in the driveway. Car wouldnt barely idle and had a dreaded rev hang issue which plauged me since i converted to manual, which manual ecu nor proper wiring could fix Now AFR's are good and idle is perfect. And best of all NO MORE REV HANG woohoo... I would like the afr's closer to 12.7 but im happy with their work. Graph below your looking at the blue lines was my last tune. Red line is an older tune i did with another cam they put for comparision Basically why knock their work or their product when they clearly have benefits ? |

as i said before, i put one of them on my car so i am talking from experience! and the car went backwards, it was not a custom dyno tune though, it was a tune designed to run with the cam specs and dyno graphs that i supplied to their head office...
