nah, corners are ballsy.......... you dont get the "oh f**k i came in way too fast" feeling in a straight line or the "the tail is gonna come back in..... isnt it?!?!?!"

however straight lines usually don't invole bad concequences ie smashed rims, panels, axles, suspension etc etc

just my 2 cents

theres a hilux in WA that would shame almost everyone here ;)

its running the L67 engine from the commo's (the supercharged 6) and is puttin down 300hp at the treads

There was a F250 at motorvation that had a 7.0L, Turbo Diesel in it and It went harder than a 13sec silvia! Go Figure?!

8 turbos????? LOL!

Have a look at the previous issue of streetmachine fords and theres your answer. The yanks have had flash tuners for years on those things. The 7 litre is good for a mid/low 13 with just a tune and the smaller 6 litre is good for mid/low 12's cause its got a variable vane turbo and all sorts of weird and wonderfull s**t. Its freaky watching a 2.5 tonne truck pass a WRX with the rar wheels chirping through the gears.

Crazy stuff! A 2 & 1/2 tonne truck would have to be good for 300+rwkw to be doing 13s down the 1/4, pretty impresive. But with That kind of displacement, and all the other stuff they have like you mentioned, it's understandable where all the power comes from.

i once dragged my mates hilux 01 in my telstar, the only thing i saw of the car was him in the rear view mirror. and my car beats my brothers fairmont ef by 1-2 car lengths.
i dont belive that any hilux can beat a e-series falcon in good condition

Mate your a bit out of touch when you are comparing the '01 Hilux to the current models............ My '05 Prado beats my mates EB auto to 100 k's and the new hilux is essentially the same (but lighter) car and would be quicker again.

Your Telstar must be a manual, or else it would be getting torn a new bum byt he EF. The auto's are a slug! And over what distance does it beat the EF by 1-2 car lengths?

telstars are nothing special (pretty slow actually) when untouched i couldent pull quicker then mid-18 on the quater (manual as well). but you have to tharsh it to pull decent times and this stuffes up the car heaps (broke the gearbox, cluch and snapped a piston). peice of advice dont do up telstars.

Either your dads telstar has been fully bombed (if so why would you?) or the EB V8 was running on six cylinders.

There is no way in hell an auto V6 telstar would even be in the same postcode after a drag race with an EB V8. I don't care who's driving which car or anything like that........if both guys are trying the telstar is just not even in the same weight division.

Someone has been telling you porky pies!

well i witnessed it, stock eb fairmont v8 auto with a zorst, and my dads v6 telstar auto 100% stock besides aftermarket wheels.
im not a big fan of them, but it does get up and go. i do think they're a bit under-rated but if you choose not to believe me, thats up to you.
