hey guys, just wondering if anyone has run an auto 5L eb with 3.9's and thermo's or similiar mods down the strip?
i know its not going to be a record breaking time but just out of curiosity im interested in what my daily banger would run. 15.5? 15.3? faster? slower? let me know what you think! cheers Luke |

both my stock eb ghia 5.0s have run 15.7 bog stock on 250000 plus motors.
My eb ran a best of 15.3 with stock 3.27 gears, roller rockers, extractors and a cai, it ran a 15.2 with a morestall and the above mods. if your motor is healthy you should run a mid to low 15 maybe quicker, at around 90mph |

ran a best of 16.6 last night guys, 3.9s and thermo's fitted and mixer ring removed...not sure what the issue is haha. first run it fried first and second so had a woeful start and pulled a 16.7, second run did a big skid in second and into third and had no traction problems but was very sluggish off the line.
Launch seemed to be a big problem, was catching my mates manual vr that pulled a 15.4 by the end of the track but the thing just wont get off the line properly, had half a tank of gas, petrol, subs and spare wheel still in it so that is possibly part of the problem just thought some of you might be interested |

Not to shabby, Ford always seem to be a joke off the mark, but once they finally pick up they pull well. Pull out the spare and whatever else you have+ have less fuel and you might take .01-.02 off the quarter time.

either run on half a tank of petrol or gas.. but not both!! dead weight!! ditch the spare!!! how many puncture's are you goiing to get on the quater- pulling over, changing the tryre and completing the race??? lol and do you need doof doof subs when blasting down the quater!!?? lol

it wasnt a point of breaking any records more seeing what my daily could do in full street trim.....and believe it or not i drive day in day out with a spare tyre and subs and alot of the time with half and tank of gas and fuel.
Anyways, dont own that car anymore....since then have had a turbo ed xr6 and am now starting to build up my ef with a stage 4 snort kit, now thats a car that wont be running in full street trim |
