both with edits would still be very close. the edit and mafless tune on a vt/vx unlocked quite a bit of power but by the time you get to the vz there is not as much there to unlock. edited vt and edited vz are very similar down the 1/4 still. maybe 1/2 second to the vz depending on what else gets done as well. i have a mate who has a ba xr8 man. with zorst and generic flash tune (225rwkw b4 tune) and he reckons it would be very close with his previous car which was a vt 6sp with edit (was on ls1.edit site for a while).

i keep reading about how the ba boss motor is a slug and all the rest so my mate must have a very healthy one as it goes very hard. std gen3/4 or l76 are no match.

Yeah, but when you go to the strip, the LS1 boy's seem to be getting quicker numbers than the BOSS boys ????

i dont notice that many xr8's/gt's up at willowbank.
on the other hand, every 4th car is a v8 vx-vz.
skianef - it might pay to have a browse on fordforums, because there are some serious numbers and times being pulled out of stock/slight modified xr8's/gt's.

that's about all you holden guys have to hang your hat on. straight line speed. and often you don't even have that. this is the late 80's all over again now when v8's take a back seat to forced induction. not many of the generals finest can hang with the xr6t's and f6's and if they can the difference in money spent getting it that way is quite substantial. plus the ford's retain everyday driveability and economy much better. to get big power out of the gen3/4's and l76's you have to go mafless and then they really drink the juice.

i dont mean to be a smart-a*** but there's a few quick falc's/fpv's with bolt-ons mate.
i've gone to the trouble of proving my point, because i believe you're just one of those people who simply think that holden is superior to ford.
here you go champ.

Hmmm I see we have been busy, well the next drag will sum it all up, as we have give'n each other time to do your wheels up..no limates ;) if all go's well I expect some big power from mine. As for the VZ well its got its advantages ute big engine.........more this more that but this next drag when it happens it gonna interesting no stats yet as to whats happen to the cars. But all I can say is that Iv have my trust in the BOSS power plant. See how close we where b4....There not so tough!.. FORDPWR making happen.

I'm surprised by how close it was before, by the way this skainef fluff goes on about the Holdens, you'd think he'd have raped you. And it was a ute vs sedan as well. Either your car is good, of the other guy is a s**t driver...

But good luck (not that you should need it 8-)) for next time.
