I can't believe no one has asked to see pics of xr8girl yet

I've gone up against a few XR8s - I belted a 220kw at the lights (twice - he wasn't happy  ) and at the drags I've also seen them run high 14s to low 15s so it sounds like you've got yourself a freak there xr8girl :)

Last chance guys.

a) get back to discussing drag racing

or

b) continue giving each other s**t... at which time the thread will be locked.

To the guys and gals of the WA tickford crowd - welcome to Fordmods. Im sure you'll enjoy your stay but please note that this forum (Track Side) is considered a technical forum and as such - we (the fordmods admin group - yes, you heard me - the FAG lol) will put a limit on how much s**t can be flung around.

Driver is over the 100Kg mark and she (the GT) had only 3000 kays on the clock.

We're pretty laid back at fordmods. Or lazy? One of the two... lol. Have a look see at the rules (link on homepage) pretty straightforward and if you keep it reasonable we'll leave you alone :)

That's some big speed... bit too much wheelspin off of the line?? About my trap speed but looking at 14 flats in the ol' EF.

The "speed kills" slogan belongs in the same rubbish bin as the "guns kill" slogan.

Both are s**t generalisation!

Isn't that why us sensible people keep it on the track?
How many people worldwide die on the strip compared to the road? I'd say not many.
I'm not sure about other states, but here in WA,we used to have the Blue Light Drags ,which was run by the WA Police Force. The whole idea was to give young (& old :D )kids somewhere (Barbagello Raceway) to go where they could "legally" speed and not get killed or have to worry about fines e.t.c.
The then Police Minister decided that the Police weren't setting a good example by allowing it,and so it was canned.
At the same times anti-hoon laws were introduced, and (coincidently??)more and more young people have been dying on our roads.
My way of thinking is there is a time and a place for everything. :D
