of course you can, the Spool centre REPLACES the LSD centre. drop a minispool in there, the racecan will be happy all day long, they were intended for race cars anyway, LSD's, well ford ones, are pretty ordinary bits of gear if you track the car. My track hack will be getting a spool in the bum.

im no mechanic but i thought it only replaces spider gears in an open slipper and an lsd was different and couldnt be done,

This. You need an open centre to fit a minispool, same goes for a mechanical locker. As said, they replace the spider gears in the centre.

A full spool however can be used to replace the entire centre.

I got the Ultra Performance Components (UPC) 330mm and twin piston upgrade kit off ebay for a bit under $1000 but that was cos no one else bid on the set and i think it was a lot less than their rrp as well.
Theres some pics in my thread (EF Turbo track hack) of the kit and bolted up on the car, as far as i know its either that or have to run the standard size caliper and rotors still?
