Put the car on a diet, look at softening the rear end up, remove front swaybar.

4000rpm launch shouldn't fry the tyres if you slip the clutch a fair bit.

My best 60 footer is 1.9 on both my 18s and Hoosier dot radials. I don't think I will get any better until I start playing with the suspension.

Semi slicks might fix your problem

ET streets = 1.7 60' easy.

I have done a 1.9 on 14" kuhmo's (205/60R14) street tyres let down to 18psi. but nothing beats proper drag radials or slicks.

General rule of thumb is for every 0.1 shaved off the 60' you get 0.2 off your ET.

id like to see what my 60ft is, I got auto, 3.9's an shift kit. I stall it to 2000rpm and can take off with just a little chirp and it sinks me back hard.

Rob (and the others) has it right.

Slicks are the go.

Knocked 3/10ths off of my 60' just going to slicks.

Used to do 2.1-2.2. Now 1.9's.
