im running an el 4.0l with dev 5 cam, shaved tickford head, rebuilt bottem end (40 thou ova), full exhaust, rebuilt auto with cooler, 3000 stall, 3.73 gears n lsd. my best time so far was a 14.9 n yesterday i installed a chiptorque chip with custom tune . my best time was a flat 15.
this is s**t, has any 1 had any trouble like this b4 n could work out what mite b slowing my car down?

what do you mean "should pull 170, 180kw with new computer"?

go to jim mocks dyno and you will have that figure.

maybe convert to manual, or run a high stall in your auto, or fit some semi slicks for the run if traction is an issue.

id look closer at the tune cos it should be capable of mid 13s, are you having problems with the launch?

Mid 13's big ask from an auto EL....

dev5 is a large cam maybe the stock Head (no porting) is restricting the Cam's flow at high lift.

also did u get a before and after dyno readout with the Chiptorque chip ?

What was you 60 ft time? And MPH ?

You may find you might be missing in an area and gaining in others.

I think the stall might be part of the problem, perhaps either launching not well enough or even too well.

You should be able to get the 60ft time to about 2.1-2.3 and the trap speed to be around 160km/hr+.

if i stall the car up traction is an issue but if i jus sit there n punch it off the line its not too bad. 60ft time is about 2.3 secs n ova the line is high 140s or 150km/h. all the rocker gear has been rebuilt to suit the cam but the head is still fairly standard, i dunno how much its restricting me but i was still hoping for a mid 14 atleast. the car isnt running how it should ill try n get a dyno run in during the week n c what happens.

my mates 5 speed elxr6 has a full dev5 rebuild and he only pulled a pb of 14.59, prob could shave some time off that if he worked on the launch,

That 60ft time is really slow for that set-up. I'd be really working on those launches to drop that 2.3sec down to at least a 2.1sec 60ft. Old saying goes, "Drop 0.1 off your 60ft, it'll drop 0.2 off your ET". So in saying that, if you could drop your 60ft down to 2.1 that'd bring your ET down to 14.4, which i'd say would be about right with that MPH your pulling over the line.

try less tyre pressue and check your rear shocks, seems like your not getting a lot of weight transfer happening.
