cool pick... your car is about the same speed as mine at half track... 71-73 mph but i usualy cross the trap at 92-95.6 mph.. when you open her up casper you should attain that top end speed cos you have a great sixty footer...

Hi Guys/Girls, Just joined on here, looks like a good forum.
I have a BA Pursuit, Auto. Mods are, TBA throttle body,under drives,G&D air box, Pacey 4 into 1's, G&D catch can, G&D thermostat mod, G&D custom tune, Race spec trans and converter, trans cooler, 4.11 gears, G&D custom adjustable trac rods, weld light weights and full slicks, I have run a 11.89@114, with more to come when we sort a converter issue out. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

It normally does 92-93mph at the end but the headwind was a shocker on the day. Everyone was down about 3-4mph from the talk around the traps. I'll take it to Calder soon enough and hopefuly have a still night.. then hopefully we'll see some decent mph and the ET to go with it. If I could get a 660 footer like that I would be at 14.5's.. I somehow dont think the lsd re tighten will do it.

What sacrifice? Can you name me another auto I6 with a dead stock, 100% unopened engine running 14.7's? Who cares about the MPH.. ET is all people look at. I'd be happy to run 80mph if I could improve on the ET. In the end the I6 simply does not have the grunt to run really fast ET's on power alone. Its not like we can cruise off the line like a beefy V8 and then just wind it up to 110mph! Where the I6 has an advantage is weight and balance.. that means we can take advantage of a ripper 60' time and then ride that advantage as best we can till the end. Makes for slightly slower MPH but theres an aweful lot of I6's running 93-95mph and still sitting well in the 15's. I see no sacrifice (and I LOVE making HSV's freak out on the road.. they dont know what hit them.. 0-speedlimit its over before it began for most of them )

it was at the track. on the night i got in about 10 runs and avereaged between 94 and 96 mph.
2 runs were 15.5 and worst was a 15.9 from memory. thats with 3.08 gears. 3.45 lsd goes in next couple of weeks. |

96 MPH indicates that your car is capable of a 13.9 to 14.5
