Ok guys

just curious here , im sure there are alot of people that have had fun at the drag strip with there car or friends car

i'm just after details how u performed at the race track

there are the details i would like but if u dont have or know just quote what u do have

1. type of car u raced down the quarter mile ? type of engine , gearbox diff , N/A , turbocharged , supercharged , NOS
2. weight of the car and ur weight :oops: could be enbarassing this part ?
3. rear wheel power or engine horse power figure of a dyno ?
4. rate ur driving skills poor to good out of 0 to 10 ( lol this will be interesting also
5. what track did u ran at ?Hot day or Cold day air temp please ?
6. what tyres and differential ratios ?
7. elapsed time and mile per hour u pulled down the quarter mile ???
8. 60 foot mark ? ( sorry late entry :oops: )

i don't care if u run 19 seconds im here not s**t stir anyone LOL ???

1. 1994 ed gli, 4.0l 5spd, xr6 3.45 diff, 122dollar wade regrind, exhaust. n/a
2. empty weight on the weighbridge was 1560kg. + me 100kg's, so raceweight was about 1700kgs including fuel and driver and s**t in the back seat and sub in the boot! haha
3. havent done dyno, but im guessing 160rwhp
4. i can drive my car to its limits 9/10.

2. 1400kg (including 1/4 tank) + 105kg driver
3. no idea about 150rwhp
4. 9/10

6. nankang 215/60/r15's diff 2.92
7. 14.78@151kmh 2.0 60foot (this was done on the 2nd run then I snapped the axle in the diff!! damn 25 splines)

2. Weight of EF + 85kg driver
3. 146rwkw
4. 3/10 (first time at drags, soft take off's, had 4 passes before oil ruined the night)
5. AIR
6. 225's on 15's, 3.08ss diff
7. 14.8@95mph (153kph) 2.4s 60foot

thats awesome mate.
get urself a decent lsd with 3.9's and you will reduce that time to a 14.4!
single spinner + power = s**t launch (ie 2.4 60foot)

Weight: I think around 1650kg
His weight: 100kg
Time: 13.9 @ ??? (cant remember trap speed)
At heathcote raceway in victoria
Pretty cold night
Driving skills, 9/10
18's all round with 235/45 rubber

Will be run at easternats if anyones there, now a 340rwkw - N/A monster.

Will get back to you in a few weeks on how quick (or slow) my car is

2. car + driver +fuel = 1325kgs
3. DynoDynamics dyno 227kwatts@6500rpm
4. 9.99 out of 10
5. Calder park details on ticket
6. 28in tall by 9inch wide slicks 4.11:1 ratio nine inch diff
7. 10.835 seconds @ 115.16 mph has gone quicker
8. 60ft = 1.546 has also improved




1968 CD cortina 2 door powered by a 351 cleveland 2V closed chamber heads Holley street mominater manifold 4 barrel double pumper carby C10 auto 9 inch diff mini spooled 4.11:1 ratio . ON my dyno it produced 227kwatts@6500rpm and ran all day long 10.8 seconds weight of the car with driver was approx 1325kgs NORMALLY ASPIRATED and to date has run best of 10.71seconds@123 mph car was sold last year to someone in Ballarat.
The group of sponsors where trade people that use my mechanical services and some of the sponsors where Ante's doing. they all sponsored him well over 7 years.

im sure some people are sick of hearing about mine, but anyway...

eb series 2 station wagon, 4lt, 5 speed, 3.27 lsd, xg snorkel, CMS stg 2 cam, pacemakers, 2.5" exhaust, thats it.
i think it ways about 1700-1750 in race trim
depending on the dyno 136-146 rwkw
driving, 9.5/10, i dont think anyone else could get more out of it.
wsid, 27 deg summer night
kuhmo 215/60r 14's 3.27 diff
14.966@92mph 2.10 60' (has done a 2.0, but missed third, doh)
not bad for the mods done in a wagon.

but in the next year or 2 i should have the tc corty wagon running in the 12's with any luck.

3. 180rwkw, apparently.. dunno if I trust the dyno though
4. 9/10 - it's an auto, not very hard to just keep your foot down in a straight line :D
5. Kwinana motorplex, reasonably cool night
6. 17" 235/45 which are rather bald after tonight, 3.08 open wheel diff
7. 14.7@96mph
8. 2.36 60", damn auto and diff..
