thats racing.

someone should show those clowns who organise the supercars that this is what australia wants to see. Some rise and some fall. Real racing.

who wants to watch nose to tail follow the leader all day?

thats a great clip. good how the safety car wasnt sent out. a good amont of times that it comes out these days could easily be avoided with a bit of common sense.

I don't watch the 24 Hour race and don't follow it, so I don't know the rules. But why the hell are all the other cars so damn slow?

This is called "real racing" where this boring word "parity" is thrown out the window. It's what we lost this type of racing in the 80's when some richard-craniums in a room decided that australia wanted to see only ford vs holden racing against each other. in identical cars bar the badges on the front of them.

yeah I agree, the other manufacturers were weak, I mean WTF, why didn't they man the f**k up and build a specialised racing car for a production car race?
Weak as piss.

they have different classes. IE, a Holden Barina in class E might finish 75th overall, but it will be the winner in its class if it finishes first.

Right...well the monaro's just pounded the s**t out of them. I think I saw a Dodge in there...I am sure they can build that into spec to beat the Monaro right?

Well as SteadyED said, those other manufacturers should grow some balls and be a man.

so holden "builds" 2 racing cars loaded with full on racing mechanicals that arent available to any member of the public and calls it a production car...

why didnt porsche turn up with one of its lemans racing cars???

oh that may have had something to do with the fact that they aint anywhere near a production car just like the holden wasnt..

what a load of s**t!!!

this thread is an example of how dumb the public has become...

almost as dumb as this :

i always understood that there had to be a certain number released (at least 500 or something) so they sold a bunch of them cheaply to holden employees

I was being sarcastic Phong!

I reckon it's a load of sht, every other manufacturer there was using a car with the factory engine, and Holden just shoved a C5R in a monaro, and stomped everything.

They didn't sell any cheaply to holden employees, what a load of s**t.
I don't think they sold any at all, it wasn't a bloody production car!
If there is 500 Monaros owned by Holden employees getting around with dry sumped 427s in them, I'll eat my f**k hat.

They got away with it because its Holden, firstly, and because they said they were production cars and were just about to be released to the public. Fkn bunch of wankers. I used to like watching real cars too. V8 Stupidcars just doesnt interest me anymore :(
