Anyone know how quick a VZ crappadore does the quarter in and 0-100.
My GFs dad has one as a company car and it seems like a slow POS. We were just about even with a crappy VT even a little behind and even i though a VZ holden would be a little better than that!!!

rofls all round there mate.

I think a VZ on a good day would pull about a 16.5- 16.8 stock (auto). I remember a thread yonks ago about a member who went with a mate with a VY ( so sorta close really) which did about a 16.7.

I know the AU will pull close to a 16 next time I go out. still stock.

haha yeah that was me in my stock ef vs my mates stock vy. both 6 and both auto. i did a 16.2 (woohoo) and he did a 16.7. surely a zv with the alloytech 190 would have some more punch than the vy but. my conservative guess would be around a low 16

Yeah that wouldnt surprise me. Any ideas on 0-100 time? I would of been so p****d if i paid $40,000 for the plastic mismatching gutless Berlina that we have. It just reminds me of why i hated holdens in the first place. In terms of build quality they are sh#thouse. Poor acceleration. Why would anyone want one?

I just looked it up on the net and you are looking at between 8.7 -9.3. 0-100 haha what a slow pos. Most old efs should match that. Hell my NL fairlane might keep up.

The alloytechs seem to hide it well too, Apparently they have 190kw, they certainly dont feel like it.

Have seen a few 5 speed VN's crack 15.5ish times, but anything after VR were slugs with auto's, even with a reasonable first gear, they cant seem to cut a mid 16. A new rodeo 4 x 4 beat a VY ute (6cyl auto) by almost half a second the other week. Pathetic.

Funny thing i cant understand why they are so slow as they have over 300NM of torque and either 175 or 190KW depending on model. I wonder if my tickford ghia with 162kw would beat it?

svz has 320 Nm @ 2800
EL has 357 Nm @ 3000

bf II has close to 400 Nm @ ??? (?)

but the box ratios help them along heaps? you just dont get that satisfing surge like when the BBM flicks on an i6 or barra

theres this thread.

{DESCRIPTION}

that was mitch_, myself and my bro, PB's for all 3 cars!

the times from April 2006 motor are - 0-100 in 9.70 and 1/4 in 16.71.
now that is for the 175 engine, the 190 is alot quicker, over 1sec in fact.

lol makes it a 15.6-7 car still far from quick.

Drove an Aurion 200kw today at work, seriously nothing to get excited about.... slower than my old eb with 4.11s and exhaust. and its doing 6000 RPM at 60KM

15.3 the sv6 came in at with the 190kw motor.
yeh they arent fantastic by a long shot, the 190 in the commo's should be standard, which i can see happening in the series 2.
