keen to know what my xr6 is capable of now that its been worked.

insurance will not cover you if you crash at the drag strip, im sure you wont be doing 10 second quarters and wheel spinning all down the track so you should be ok.

i think so mate but no idea to be honest
like i always read on here that people go down on thursday nights in brisbane at least and have a few runs but not sure if those guys get a group together to lessen the cost of a run or what that's the other thing i was hoping to have answered in this thread. so if anyone goes often and can explain the dealio i would love to know.

fg xr6 n/a = onpen centre diff. so even if he does over power it, it will just sspin one wheel away.

and on the power subject 167 rwkw from a worked fg xr6 seems a bit low to me?..

Not sure what its like now but years ago (20 or so) you had to fill in the forms for an ANDRA license and your car had to pass safety inspection. To go in the test & tune was about 25 and the license was 25 as well from memory.

You should be able to get all the info you need from here

http://www.willowbankraceway.com.au/eve ... GroupID=45

Pick an event and give yourself plenty of lead time to give them a call to find out what you need

Dont go too hard on the burn out unless you are using slicks (unless you want some cool pics)...normal road tyres arent like slicks...when they get hot they just get slippery.

Good luck on your run mate....no mater how fast you go the experience is a hell of a thrill!

yeah 167 seems too low for what you have done. A 3" exhaust would see a good gain with what you have got

cheers for the info Landau,

as for the 167.2rwkw that im putting out this is off topic sorry but yes it does sound low however this was put down on a very conservative dyno and was told that the fact i ran it on 20"s would give me a lower reading on top of the conservative reading as well so i will have a better idea after putting it on a few more different dynos but at the moment thats what it made and thats all i have to quote so thats what i go off atm.

plus i would rather have a low reading and know that is actually producing that then have a high reading that cant be backed up on the strip haha so when i reach my goal of 220Rwkw at least i will know its a genuine 220atw ;)

There is probably a little bit of room to move in the tune itself as well i suspect - we shall see what she gets on the same dyno after the stage 4 atomic head goes in just have to source a genuine ford fg head first.

cheers.

Yeah taking it down the strip will give you a good idea of what power it has, i lost about 5rwkw with running my 19's and the stickier the tyre the lower the reading will go, with the more runs you do.

yeah keen to see how quick it is. as it feels a hell of a lot quicker than it used to like i can get to 140 on stretches of road where previously id struggle to 110 haha - private roads of course.

hey mate your number is pretty impressive mate good work bet it flys being like 300kilos lighter than the ba bf fg models lol.

I've been quite curious also. But I'll be heading down to willowbank during the hotter months, probably around xmas / NYE.
