Hi Folks,

Most of you would know I have an AUS1 with snort Turbo and LPG.

Some of you will not know this, but I am so happy with the car I want to share it.

I also now have a 2005 XR6T with injected LPG, it is great. Cant speak highly enough of the fitters (APS Frankston) and the tech man behind it - Hilbert Klaster.

Car makes More power on LPG than petrol

Currently looks like about $8 per 100 k's of driving with fuel at 62.9cpl, based on my consumption though, that would become $4.90 per 100 if I lived in Melbourne.

If anyone wants pics let me know and I will post them.

I paid $4000 but that reflected my car being used as a test car for the emission testing.

I think the normal price is a little higher, but not too much.

That's awsome.

So, are you going to bring it over to Wello to run it at the Dubbo City Car Club's eighth-mile drags?

Direct injection LPG is definitely the way of the future.

When the liquid LPG is injected into the intake, it expands astronimically and also lowers the intake temps by quite a bit.

With the addition of digital control, it should make even more power than petrol.

A friend in Brisbane is working with an Australian company on a direct injection LPG system that includes a purge arrangement to bleed the gas out of the injector lines, ensuring that there is liquid LPG at the injectors.

Apparently this will make for even easier starting and lower emissions during the starting and warm-up cycle.

He's going to fit the system to his own 302-powered Ford Courier as part of the on-road research and development program. When he's happy with his knowledge of the system, he will fit a pair of turbos.

With the 302 on-board, there's not enough room to fit an intercooler but the new technology LPG system will do the job anyway.

Beware of white Ford Courier utes with lumpy bonnets

Stay tuned.
