Im in the process of putting a powerdyne S/C on my el xr6 ive installed new high flow 24lb injectors and a walbro fuel pump will this be enough for 6-9psi? and will i need a rising rate fuel reg?
Car already has Surecam Valve Springs Ported head Adjustable gear Full zorst

You'll definately need a rising rate reg for 24s. Probably looking at 36/42 pounders to run at a flat fuel pressure.
Maybe a 6:1 or an 8:1 rising rate for 24s.... The walbro will provide enough fuel. How much power you chasing? What ECU?

the best possible advice, although most people building forced cars on a budget dont like to hear this, is buy a nice aftermarket management, a 1:1 reg, and for the power you want, some ford motorsport 42lb injectors...
its going to be a hell of a lot better outcome, than trying to use rising regs and std managment. with the added bonus, of, when the boost bug bites (which it will) you then have to option to throw watever you can imagine at it

I ran a v8 with 19# injectors and a 12:1 FMU for almost 2 years with about 7.5psi boost.
Never skipped a beat, but wasnt ideal... got some killer power drops throughout the range as a result of air fuel ratios being a bit out as a result of the FMU. Can probably see this in my 170kw dyno run in the user gallery.

after a 10 min think i might go the 42's is the standard XR6 reg 1.1, anyone need 8 new 24lb injectors

Yeah, standard/xr6 fuel reg (doesnt really matter which one, so long as its tuned properly), big injectors and a good tune will be a much better option.

yeh i would go for the 42's, may i ask my u ported your head and got a good cam for 200rwkw, when the standard xr6 setup is good for 220+ most forced induced stnadard xr6's are making around 230rwkw on 10-12 psi

I really dont think that is the best advice...far from it. Its a mild blower, and its never going to make more than 8-9psi. And being a centrifugal supercharger there is no chance of it spiking boost...very predictable. He already has a 1:1 regulator. He already has a Chiptorque chip (aka edit). EL-XR6, your best option is to sell off the 24lb injectors and get yourself some 36lb injectors (or 42's). The standard computer with a (custom tuned) Chiptorque chip will handle that without any dramas at all. The other option is to run the 24lbs and up the rail pressure to 60psi....this will give your fuel pump a hard time, but no more than a rising rate reg. A Walbro GSS-341 should be OK. An FMU/rising rate reg is your last option, but I would avoid it if you can. You will get much better results with a good tune, and the right sized injector (and a fuel pump to match). |

yes lol, how is that better than my advice?? try finding anyone, anywhere that you can drive in and get a chiptorque eec tune done?? drive into any dyno shop worth there money with any off the shelf management and you wouldnt have a problem, he'd also drive in with 36lb injectors, find they run dry, have to turn around and buy some bigger ones, and waste the time spent on the dyno as 36lb'rs re only realistically capable of 240-250kw at the engine

Cheers depends on if u use the eec and chip or u go for the aftermarket ecu, with the eec i would say u would be restricted to a certin resistance, if u use anything that works on a ba it will be fine. the fordmotorsport injectors will be fine for wat u want, and u can pick them up real cheap on ebay.
