Agreed the nissan 3.0L engine goes well especially with a turbo. Ive driven a manual N/A in a R31 with Lsd, Exhaust ,Cam, filter, extractors, advanced timing, and it was producing 160 kw at the engine was bloody fast so fast i was really surprised. He might even turbo it and im sure it will flog most cars and it wont owe him a fortune.

Yeah only 3kw more, but lighter and better geared and much much faster than my tickford EL ghia, with lsd, tickford intake, exhaust, extractors. I would need at least 200kw to keep up.

i agree :>

but it might have something to do with the fact i have a 3.0L nissan engine too. cept mines a v6 quadcam twin turbo.

its amazing how advanced their engines were even many years ago. mine is an 89 model and has more technology than some BA's!

Froudey we were just discussing performance not looks or handling, but as you mention looks, look at the at the equivalant ford of similar vintage they were just as boxy and dozy slugs that possesed less technology than a dinosaur, handled like crap, ate fuel like it was going out of fashion, not too mention the handles that broke on a regular basis. Dont mean to offend but as i also used to own a r31 myself i appreciate the fine vehicle they were. anyway off last topic anyone know what exact engine is going into the new fords next year as i heard that its not going to be a 4.0l
