The acid rush one was a fairmont. Made by Snort and CVE. It was CVE's own car.
320ish rwkw I think. |

Interesting - STS = Squire Turbo Systems in the USA are big on these things, they have patents covering the idea apparently

What I don't get is why remote mounted anyway? Paul from CVE remote mounted his because there was no room up the front, and partly because people said he couldn't do it. Surely anything carrying a 351 would have room to spare.

Thanks dude.
What about if I want to use just 1 turbo tho? I was thinking that 2 would be too hard to get the cold side piping back to the engine bay... I read that if I keep the A/R at .84 or smaller will keep the turbine spool time to a minimum. You are the guru tho so I'll take your word over most others any day of the week... Thanks

Also, how heavy would a single turbo be? Something from the Garrett range like a Gt35xxx??
I will guess at something around the 10 - 15 kg mark? I am concerned about having that much weight just hanging on the exhaust. Anyone know a way to solid mount the turbo to the body/chassis rail? Thanks fellas

A bracket to rear of trans housing to exhaust as engine / trans moves as one..
A turbo is no heavier than most std mufflers...

Ok, after some pretty hardcore surfing over the last week, mainly on the US turbo forums, I have come up with the following list: RPS 50mm Blow Off Valve TiAl 38mm Wastegate Tiltron trans cooler oil pump Lightning maf 42lb injectors Wilbro 255 intank pump Hot and cold side piping Plus a thousand other lil bits and bobs along the way!! I want to run a single, not twins. I have the wagon up on stands today and reckon a single mounted just before the diff on the drivers side, then run the charge pipe back along side the exhaust, across to the passenger side, and up the firewall to the intake. I'm just having problems getting a turbo size sorted. HX35? Precision-61? T70? There seem to be a few options but I can't seem to get anyone to give me a good answer on any.
