Hey,guys. I've got a couple of questions for you. We're looking at buying a Ba Pursuit ute that's supercharged and dynoed at 512rwhp (while replacement motor was fresh-apparentley the guy thinks it would dyno at more if it was done now).
I want to know, A: Is this thing gonna be safe to drive. and B: Will it be hard to take down the 1/4 mile being a manual (I can imagine wheel spin all the way e.t.c)

yeh, I'm sure safety would be fine, if you put a chock under the throttle allowing it to only go down a quarter.

Yeah i think axle tramp would make you back off pretty quickly though, and there'd be lots of that!

lol there is enough wheel spin in a standard manual ba xr8, let alone an extra 220rwhp. lol but it will be funn. if its got traction control it will be safe:)

Good luck with both of those sales! Hope you can get the Blown Pursuit Ute.
I would still be curious as to why there has been a 'replacement' motor in the ute... |

It's all been done by Marks Workshop,and from what I've been told he's pretty good. Another question :The current owner says he's had to put a short shifter in to be able to change gears,something about the revs and not being able to select gears with standard shifter

I would still be curious as to why there has been a 'replacement' motor in the ute... Apparently the original motor was consuming too much oil,like the GT problem,so he got the new engine sent to marks workshop and the engine was plonked straight in with the supercharger on it

Yep. My engine was done by MWS (before I owned it). I have heard good and bad about them. Whatever you do, make sure it is in good condition, and everything is running right and tuned well.
