ill measure a rod next time im at work..
are n/a and turbo rods same length? its only the pistons that differ isnt it.. apart from strength wise the rods are all the same..? if my block has had marking on the bores and it needs a re-bore instead of honing you would still only get standard sized pistons and larger rings...? cos 50 thou oversize is a bit too much for a falcon (AU) block isnt it? |

yea 0.050" thou is big for a I6 block, however 0.020" or 0.50mm is ok

they are the same bore etc. It would be a matter of dummy assembling a E Series and making sure it all clears ok. The other problem may be in piston to valve clearance, again a dummy assemble with a head will answer this question. I haven't got the money to blow on doing this. If some was willing to buy the rods/pistons, I would happily trial fit and see what can be done to the E series stuff

i'm more worried about the conrods, will they be a good fit or will i have to get some machining done?

given that the rods bearings are the same for all the ford 6's, I think it would be safe to assume they will fit the crank. Just have to make sure that the big end will clear the block as it spins past

can always machine some of the webbing underneath if they dont. it would have no adverse affect. but its been proven that ptv clearance is too close. and also if running a larger cam it obviously increases the chances. but im interested to know what the clearances would be like with my big copper headgasket inbetween the blck and head...
