nope they don't
i don't even have to read the link to tell you that. these turbos are common know as S-H-I-T and are known to fly apart the first time they see boost of any kind |

Most of these arent really "rip offs" per se.
They are cheaply manufactured (in China i believe) to service the end of the market who dont have a lot of money for a real hi-po turbo. The manufacturers make no apologies about this..... it's the retail sellers who dont tell customers the full story.... IIRC common features are glued compressor housings, poor clearancing of bearings and shaft... Buyer beware!!!!

i looked into all sorts of "cheaper" turbo befor buying my garrett and it comes down to the fact that if you buy site unseen then you dont know what you will end up with. Some of these turbos have being good but I havnt seen any long term reports.
Best bet is if you cant stretch for a new quality turbo, maybe look at used turbo of decent qual', you may have to have a rebuild soon but atleast you know it CAN be rebuilt, some of the cheap imports use odd parts that cant be sourced by a turbo shop... they would most likely laugh at you for buying one anyway. PAy the extra and get a decent turbo. Same goes for external gates... plenty of cheap ($400plus) ones around now but they have jamming probs and you dont want it to jam and pump 30psi into your motor all of a sudden... |
