Getting a BA 4 litre to out-sprint a rex may require a few dollars, but for the rex owner to get their fugly little toy to perform that hard, they have to be bloody brutal to the driveline and repairs for a breakage or breakages just wouldn't be worth it. I've been in a rex which tried to perform hard off the line without reving the ring out of it and dumping the clutch and the poor little thing just bogged down and went nowhere. Any 4 litre would have creamed it off the line.

If all ur interested in is eating a wrx off the line, put a small amount of money in the hood and pack the rest into a set of 4.11 or 4.33 gears out the back!

That's my point mate, unless the ricer is prepared to flog the toy to within an inch of it's life, you don't need to spend any money on your 4 litre to beat the Rex.
