I had a standard system with just the centre muffler cut out, injectors and a custom tune and got 270rwkw but the guy said i could have got prob 290rwkw if my boost actuator was working 100%

My 2 cents thought u might like to know

If you put this on your car your going to need to get the wastegate ported and a re-tune at the same time.. othere wise your car will overboost

What mods you planning on doing to the car??

what he said^^
you dont really need an exhaust and dump unless you are chasing over 320ishrwkw, the money is better spent on valve springs, fuel pump, injectors, intercooler, actuator, wastegate port and tuning....

i have a twin 2.5" exhaust with high flow cat (stock dump pipe) on my ute, sounds a little louder than stock, and flows better to.

Well if you only plan on spending that much on the car then a wastegate port and re-tune are out of the question..

Just get your self a cat back exhaust, because if you change the cat converter you'll still need a re-tune as your car would over boost..

Does the exhaust have to be 3.5" or are you open to 2x2.5" aswell??

First stage for me was:
1. Flash tuner with Generic tune for front mount fitted, 8psi & 10psi. $800
2. Bigger front mount (no new pipes just a straight bolt on swap) $400
Dyno'd and got 238rwkw at GenTech in Canberra.

Next stage:
1. Valve Springs- $800 for Nizpro supplyed & fitted (only did this for a safty precoution, if ur budget is tight u dont HAVE to but it is recommened)
2. Picked up a set of second hand Injectors with less then 10,000km on them for $300
3. Centre muffler cut out for straight through pipping $60 bucks
4. Last and the greatest part, Custom tune with C&V Performance up in Sydney around $700 (that included fitting of the injectors and 3 tunes. Also tuning the gearbox for Bloody hard shifts)

So it really only cost me a little over $3,000 for 270rwkw.

Also i do highly recommend C&V, dont know how they are to everyone else but as a younger bloke asking a few questions they where more then helpfull. I mean even at the Drags that night (freaky friday) the guys where coming up asking me how everything was going and making sure the car was running right

for $2k you could get a cooler, injectors and an edit and tune.
something like a wog cooler ($400ish).
injectors (siemens dekas group buy on AFF $350 a set of six http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11217241)
flash tuner ($495ish)
custom tunes ($700ish)
theres your $2k which would see you with 250-280rwkw depending if your valve springs will take it, people say the wog coolers are not good but for 280kw and under they're good bang for buck.

LOOK after TUNE first !!!
If your on budget ?? The last thing you cannot afford is an engine in pieces...
Bad tune = detonation = $$$$...

the bosch 968s (42lbs) and siemens dekas (60lbs) are the most common used in the XR6T, the dekas can be had cheaper though, either will work well, your ecomony after a tune should be better on the highway but of course with a heavy foot you'll use a little more around town.
