My Mrs BA seems to be hunting (or suging) under full throttle, rather than just pulling hard all the time, almost like a miss of coil or plug breaking down. Once when I had it pegged flat out the motor cut out & stalled on me (thought I blew it up at the time), took a little while to get it started again as well.
Is there a common problem with these (fuel, ignition, etc.), before I start mucking around with fuel filter/pump & plugs/leads/coilpacks, etc.

Anyone experienced this with their turbo XR's ? :?

I'd be looking at the coils and plugs on it, have a really good look at the coil bodies for cracks etc as this can cause them to do exactly what you are speaking of.

Mine had this problem, a cough when working the engine hard (wot in second gear+ was most noticable).. tonight I swapped my plugs for new ones and I'm happy to say it seems to have worked.

I think I will start with the plugs, as thats the cheapest & easiest think to check. But I will have a look at the coils while the cover is off too.

Thanks for the info guys.

Sounds like a fuel issue, check the fuel lines and fuel pump because i just had this issue myself and it was a blocked hose.
