Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has some info on removing the turbos? Even if someone has a few pages from a manual it would be a big help. I've got the front pipe off and heat shrouds, looks like the lower pipe is banded on with one of those non removable clamps? Also not sure if u can get enough play to get the turbo out without dropping the exhaust? And advise would be much appreciated! |

So an update if anyone can help:
Took the dump pipe off both the cat and the turbo so that's clear. Both coolant lines off Oil feed line off Turbo intake off Can't get turbo outlet (boost hose) off Haven't got oil return off Main questions I have: Do people take the exhaust manifold off? I had to take the actuator out before I could get the the turbo bolt underneath it so not sure if I should pull the manifold off and both the turbo to the manifold before I put it back together... Also any advise with getting the bracket that goes from the turbo to the block off? 1 bolt looks easy to get to the other I don't know how to get to it. The other option would be to pull the studs out the manifold so I can slide the turbo out inbetween the bracket and the manifold. |

if you've unbolted the turbo from the exhaust manifold it will pull almost straight up. The bracket that goes to block is unbolted when you do the above.

The above assumes the studs have come out as they usually do. If they haven't the exhaust manifold will have to come off as well - it's the easiest part anyway
