Hi guys, I've almost got my turbo kit installed into my eb and was wondering which manifold is "better".
Currently I have the bbm on as I converted the engine to el specs before I got the turbo kit and just to be easy I've hooked up the piping to it. I'm wondering if it's worth going back to the log manifold. The intercooler is inverted with the piping going just under the headlights and with the log manifold it will shorten the piping significantly. The only reason I didn't change it over before is because I'd have to source an xh idler and new accelerator cable. What I really want to know is will it make a difference to change it?

Use the Log for the Turbo, better suited for boost than the BBM.

On the BA turbo they run the BBM with short runner .. The butterflies where removed..
I would as said go the longer log style manifold..

I was going to convert my na2 to bbm then did some research and found that my log manifold is better for turbo and supercharged applications.

I ran mine with the bbm and kept the bbm operational, it still had more down low torque and throttle response over having the bbm guttered.
you could tune around it I guess, but I found it much better to drive off boost with the bbm working. even more so with the centrifugal supercharger... |

Check that vacuum is open BBM and closes again on boost ??
