I recently aquired a set of gauges from a typhoon and am putting them in my BA XR6T, i have all the wiring and senders etc.
I am after peoples opinion on where to mount the senders, so far i have purchased a t-piece from ford, which screws into the oil pressure switch and the switch is moved along and the sender is mounted in the middle. Does anyone one see a problem with that? For the boost, i was thinking of getting another t-piece and cutting into one of the manifold vaccum lines. Again does anyone see a problem with that? Thanks StrawbZ |

Just make sure you use some form of sealant on the T piece for the oil, otherwise you will have created a nice oil leak. I used normal thread tape on the T piece in my mighty boy, and it still leaks oil I'm going to pull it out & try yellow thread tape soon.
On my G/f's Tx5, the boost gauge goes on a T piece i fit to a vac line off the back of the manifold. Cheers ToranaGuy

I used PTFE tape on my fittings and no leaks.
I tee'd off the Oil pr' sender hole in the block for the temp and pressure. i have aftermarket gauges, but that wont matter, a sender is a sender...... I have my boost gauge off the hose to the MAP sensor to the ECU.......... Come out friday and you can check some stuff out, been a while matey.............. Daz
