Im looking into doing a rear mount turbo set up on my fairlane, no need to comment on the rear mount part as i have done all the research on that bit, what i need to know is if the ecu will handle boost and if so how much and how much power the injectors and fuel pump will do before maxing out.
I dont want huge power (otherwise i wouldnt be looking at rear mount) just a nice little push to bring the old 5ltr up to spec.

Not sure on the v8 but its pritty easy to achieve 200rwkw with the 6cyl using stock ecu and injectors and higher fuel pressure under boost with a good fuel pump. V8 could probably squeeze a little more power id guess.

What's your budget.. Is it a every day'r???
You will need a j3 and some dyno tuning as a bare minimum to get it running safe.. With standard injectors a 023 fuel pump, and a rising rate regulator you will be looking at about 200rwkw at 7-10psi. You will also need at least 2.5' exhaust, 3' would be ideal though..

Your list should look like this.
J3 42lb injectors Aftermarket maf Walbro or 023 fuel pump 3'' exhaust from turbo back as a bare minimum. Do it properly once and you shouldnt have any problems. |

Working out oil return takes some working out..
Most use an electric trans cooler pump... Just push the oil back to rocker cover... Some fit a small sump and pump from there..
