my mate took me for a drive in his new 32 gtr>>>well not new but you know what i mean...

fuk...does it go...everytime it accelarates i cant help but smile...i have ridden in single turbo's before and thought they were quick but this car is insane!

now my questions...the gtr carries a price tag of about 20,000 for a decent one. not inculding insurance and all that. His gtr is putting out 230kw @ 14psi...not sure what RPM it is....

20k seems a lil steep for me but if required i will go to those measures...

if i was to want to turbo/supercharged/twin turbo my EL/EF falcon would i be able to achieve these power figures for less than the purchase of a skyline? i mean everything. So that the motor/turbo and whatever is in good condition to be running on the road.

Up to the speed limit.

On the street a falcon will never keep up with a 4wd sports car with the same power.

On the strip its a different story, around a circuit and it changes again.

spend $7000 making it stop, handle and builing a drivline to cope with the power.

spend the other $13000 on an EF engine with acl cast 'race series' pistons and a basic build, a regind cam and all the bolt ons, give some from here 3 cartons of what ever to help you bolt it all in.

if it still doesn't make 230kw go buy a drum of 105 octane unleaded and turn the boost up

im just talking bout in a str8 line on the street.

i want the feel of a skyline but in the el>>>the rough ride and the accelaration.

the xr6T doesnt feel like a sports car. Im not sure if this is due to its motor or all the safety/comofortability things it has in it.

but an xr6t would no way in hell be able to keep up with a twin turbo...

Totally different kind of car.. sure you can make a Falcon go as fast in a straight line as the 32.. but a track will kill the Falcon. A long trip in a Skyline will kill your comfort :)

wtf???? 20k?????????????????????????? gtr's are a high 13 second car. for 20k you could get your car to be just as quick "NA"
going turbo.. for 20k if your willing to spend all the money on making the car go fast in a straight line, id say you would be in a different league to the gtr

id say keep the car na, aim for about 170rwkw. should cost you about 6-7k. new diff, 3.7lsd 1.5k, t5 1k, and NOS a decent set up. you would be running 13 flat easy
