Just talked with Scott. Don't stress too much about the May 17 deadline. It doesn't mean you have to have money by that date. They're just taking down a list with your contact details. For such a big order parts to make up the kits will have to be ordered...

I'm not thinking of anything less than the stage3 kit, although I'm more heading towards the 'TT' route at the moment.

For the stage 3 so $7995 off a vortech on the capa website it has the expected output for 9-14psi to be "mod engine" anyone able to explain or find out what this means exactly ?
Cheers

Cheers Basically means the stg3 is not designed for standard engines - unlike stages 1 and 2. BTW capa now offers finance on their kits... maybe they'd allow group buy participants to utilise this offer??

Finance would be beneficial for a few i guess good point....yeh i figured with the variable boost level that it would require and with a rough expected output figure not only the engine would need non-standard mods but the trans as well particulary the auto members like me But yeh I wanted to know if anyone knew say for 14psi would expected output roughly could be achieved to thensee how severe the mods to the motor and so on would need to be done.

My blower runs up to about 11psi (Vortech V2 with water injection, but no intercooler), and I put out 297rwhp with just the blower, extractors & exhaust.

Well, for one, running upwards of 9psi would need intercooling in my opinion, not just water injection.
Also I'd look at ditching the CAPA chip and go aftermarket for that sort of boost. Internals is a bit of a grey area. Centrifugal superchargers are a lot easier on engines then say a turbo supposedly. I'll be looking at running around 12psi with a Vortech, and will be going a pretty simple rebuild, EB dish ACL pistons and bearings, standard rods, balanced crank, 94AB head, genuine gaskets, and a cam of some description. Auto will be rebuilt, Kevlar bands (XR6T stylez.. sik ), and a shiftkit. 2500 stally, bigger trans cooler. A few things im undecided on, stuff like inlet manifold, choice of ECU, and headwork. I'd like power around the 200rwkw mark, but we'll see how we go. I'd rather be a short of that mark, and have no reliability problems, then be over and kill boxes every second week. Hope that helps

Well for what its worth ive been running stage1 at 7.5PSI, 170rwkw on standard everything (engine, box, injectors etc etc using CAPA chip) for about 18months now and all still feels real nice.

Didn't know about that. A blower for about 5 bucks a week doesn't sound half bad hey... |

CAPA kits come complete, yes.
If you want in, do as fourbarrel has said, and talk to CAPA.
