That would probably be a Stage 1 or 2 kit, to run 8 PSI.
SO around that 5-6k mark. Which is a damn good price, considering its everything included, and no hidden extra costs, unless you wish to modify the engine, gearbox, or change parts of the kit, etc.

Guys. I'm in the process of making a deal with snortperformace to provide a stage 2 kit including Vortec head unit, 6-9 psi, Walbro fuel pump, Vortec SMU, all brackets and pullies, all pipe work etc and all with a 3 year warranty for $4,300. I require some interested people before i can go ahead with a group buy deal though.

Centrifugal superchargers are a lot easier on engines then say a turbo supposedly.

the thing that keeps a turbo engine together most of the time, is the extra back pressure on the exhaust stroke, it goes a long way to preventing rod stretch... a supercharger cant do that, so is a lot more hurtful than a turbo

Sorry to cut in steady but I don't stand to make money out of this, i'm after a group of people wanting to purchase a kit just like myself so we can all save some hard earned cash. Snortperformance are actually listening to us, not putting us on hold. Anyhow, i'll go away and make my own thread for those who wish to go the Vortec route. Cheers!

I'm not sure snortingboosts' ethics are so cool. Hijacking threads on this forum and others to take people away from this group buy.

That aside, go for the vortech. That is a damn good price from snort performance! You'd be mad to pay $5270 for a CAPA powerdyne kit when this is on the table...

Fourbarrel please let me know if this is for the Vortech V1 or V2 or Powerdyne.

I'm keen.

just called capa then (bless the timezone difference)

Justin said that they don't do finance at all.

But still, put me down on the list as a serious contender, I'll use my next weeks pay to bring it up to around 7k

good for you, some people borrow money so that they can have it now... it all depends on each individual.

i've spent 15k as well, not borrowed. On a car and a bike. It was my choice.

There are always wankers who throw in gay comments just to put people off. If I want to borrow for a supercharger, f**k off.

Happy to discuss in private

hey mate before u get all narky and this is off topic know but he wasnt havin a crack at ya...was just saying and its true...most people who mod cars regret having done so later in life espescially if the money was borrowed...ive spent over 40K on my EF Xr6 ... i dont regret doin it just wished for a portion of what i spent that it wasnt borrowed....i should have waited saved and then modded.....but yeh ebs_4l was just making a statement so cool off...good luck with the supercharger purchase would be wicked for the money

I respect what he was trying to tell me, but in this instance, i'm gonna borrow for a supercharger. I'm never selling the car but if I do, at least I can unbolt it and put it in another car. E.g TE50

I guess everyone has different opinions on how to play with money but at the end of the day it's just a figure on paper. Personally i can't see myself taking money out to mod my car but thats just me. Most people couldn't see themselves spending money on an XF but i did. I have a mate who has spent close to 58K on a lancer (including 3 engine builds), all borrowed money. In the end he had to sell his investment property to finance another rebuild, i guess you could say cobra isn't really putting himself in that deep. Just remember tomorrow you could be dead wishing you had of done more than you did. Each to their own, it's a touchy personal subject.
