im currently getting my s**t together and am putting this kit on my car.
its an el xr6 tickford manual. lsd dumped on 18's, and heavy duty clutch.
im getting the vortech 9-14 psi kit from capa. $7995
will run 14 psi at events and 9 psi daily driver.
im throwing in a bigger cam havent decided on which one.
If it comes to head work it doesnt bother me ill get it ported and o ringed.
plan on going for 250rwkw and running a mid 12 on slicks.

ill update the site once i get all the parts and start putting them on.

How are you planning on running the car on 14PSI at events and 9 PSI for a daily? Limiting engine RPM's?
Also, if you have the cash, spend the extra dough and get a gilmore drive setup, cause the belts will slip enough trying to keep 9 PSI going.

the belts dont slip that much if you have them setup right.

any you could limit by having 2 pullies for the blower if you dont mind changing the puliies before and after event

Yeah, but 'to have them setup correctly' will put a lot of stress on the crank from the force you're putting on it, by tensioning it up a s**t.
That's basically what i was geting at, if you could be f**k changing pulleys over every weekend, thats fair enough, but for the s**t design CAPA have, i can hardly be f**k tightening mine back up when the belt stretches...
The only other way to limit boost, is to have the the Rev limiter set lower, but at full rpm it could make 14PSI.

Two pulleys will sufficient control tboost levels. events arent every weekend. id take it to calder once a month and events such as easternats and springnats. Im not lazy and can be f***ed to pulley out a 17mm spanner loosen tensioner change pulley and tighten it back up.

Are you cashed up enough to afford the 700 odd bucks for the second pulley?

if i paid retail i would probably be a bit tighter.
i know guys with vn 5.0 with the same vortech kit as i am getting with a good tune put out 260 odd rwkw.
My aim is to show these 5.0 boys what we i can get out of a 4.0 6cyl.
