i just scored a ba xr6t running gear with pretty much all the major componets needed....... minus the J pipe and i guess ill find out the rest when i want to install....... i also have the ba xr6t ABS module do i need this?? also does anyone know anyone that can make a custom loom to fit my au loom? or is it a safer bet using the ba loom with the computer

better to use the ba loom, ecu and accelerator pedal for max performance..
bolt it upto the au trans, get the ba ecu flashed to remove security that way you can also run the au trans off ba ecu aswell... |

are the blocks the same from the au to the ba? i thought they was different. and wouldnt it be better having the turbo trans as its internals are hardend?

the blocks are very similar but there are some differences..
the gearbox bolt pattern is the same, engine mounting is the same. the problem with using the ba box is there is no provision fror the speedo as ba uses abs pulse for speedo. unless you get the au box built a h/d kit or with turbo internals.. |

with the abs pulse is that something that is easily installed to my car or not as rebuilding my tran will be a very costly process....... can the parts in my ba xr6t trans be transferred to my au box to reduce cost only end paying for labour? also thankyou for replying it is a really big help.

afaik you can fit the au trans extension housing into the ba box to get the use of the speedo drive... that might be the better option

there was a guy on ebay that was making custom ba/bf looms for engine conversions, from memory they were around $700..
