Ok, ive got way too much money burning a hole through my pocket now and am looking at the feasability of putting NOS on my car, ive done some searching and such and have come out more confused than before,
I want to spend about $1500, doing all the work myself is the aim (tuning will not be done by me) im after a 75-100hp shot and the car will probably see 3 drag meets a year but may see a lot more if the bug bites so do i go a wet or a dry system (direct port looks a lot more expensive) and what extras do i need im guessing a crane HI6 would be in order (CBF changing timing all the time so id like nitrous retard) one is on ebay for $500 also shiftkit, and most likely ill set something up so it can only be activated on high RPM and full throttle and which brand / kit should i go for ive looked at the edelbock and NOS kits the NOS kit is apprx $750 on ebay

Well, you know my opinoin of the stuff
For what you want, i would be looking at a universal NOS dry kit from NOS. Will also need an upgraded ingition system, a bigger fuel pump, basically build a strong NA motor with stock compression and the good gas is not a problem. I am going toa wet system very shortly, but for what you want a dry system is the best for the small hit and easy tuning you are after. Although i believe Storm had a wet kit for sale a while ago. Ok thanks, ill find some time this weekend in between getting blotto to remind you coupla other questions: what is the model of the high volume bosch pump that fist in the standard cradle? And where would be the best place to put the nitrous jet?, ive had a look see and the only place is on the underside of the TB up against the base plate - im worried that its WAY to close to the number one runner or can i put it in the TB before the butterfly AND In the dry systems exactly how do you get all the extra fuel in (in an EEC run car) thanks for the replies

having fitted a few ZEX no2 systems i can tell you that for a 100hp kit a wet system is the best option as it will spray fuel and nos out of the same "fogger jet" and then its only a matter of getting the mixture right on a dyno, they are simple to instal as the valving and nos unit are as one and you can set up for full throttle which is the best way, suggest doing a compresion check before you instal just to make sure you motor can handle it.

The walbro 255 is abolt in fit for your fuel pump. No you dont need to rebuild for strength, but everything you do to make it breathe better will show up when on NOS. I have mine mounted before the TB, infront of the butterfly, and it is activated by a WOT switch.
