has anyone boosted a centrepoint fuel injected EA? if so how did they configure there rising rate fuel pressure reg.
a mate is almost finished his project and were just trying to sort out the fuel system the car is a 3 cyl charade with a custom low mounted turbo CT12 off a 2j with a custom front.also has a typhoon intercooler it has a bosh 044 fuel pump with a surge tank. its had the intake manifold modified to adapt to a centre point throttle body. its also running a distributor setup off an EA and is all controlled by a microtec. and help with the centrepoint fuel regulator would be much appreciated

I would have thought the [2] injectors for a 4.0 engine would be enough on a forced induction 1 Litre..
Just let the Michrotech feed the fuel..Use the Ford or whatever fuel reg on return line... They are rising rate of 1 to 1..

so the microtec is all that should be needed to control the rate of fuel and a rising rate reg wont be needed?

There is enough fuel supply from those two injectors to keep the engine happy.
There is no need to change the reg. 'Rising rate' regs like the 2:1 5:1 and 12:1 regs you read about are for band aiding a fuel system that injectors that are to small, or the management system can't be tuned to increase fuel supply. |

This sounds like an interesting projected & I'd like to know how it ends up going! I know of one or two charade 3cyl turbo engines that made their way into mighty boys, man they haul!
I'm using some ford bits for the custom distributor in my mighty boy turbo project. Nobody has flamed me about that lol, but someone did suggest I just go straight to ls1 style coils instead of a single coil. Cheers ToranaGuy
